It is a misconception there are Glass Igloos in Iceland, currently this is not the case as there are no Iceland Glass Igloos – there are a a number of resorts currently offering the Glass Igloos however they are available mostly in Finland, Norway and Sweden, not Iceland. The glass igloos that people think are in Iceland are actually in Finland, we have a number of glass Igloo options with our most popular and well known resort being the Kakslauttanen Glass Igloos in Finland (pictured above).

Ice Hotel Iceland?

People also tend to ask about an Ice Hotel Iceland – again this is a common misconception, there are no Ice Hotels in Iceland – the closest Icehotel is in Sweden – our most popular package is the 3 night Ice Hotel which is for the Swedish Ice Hotel.

Despite the Name Iceland the yearround temperature averages doesn’t make it souitable to build an icehote; You can, however, visit and even go into a glacier. Because the snow is less regular than in Sweden, Finland and Norway it is also less common to find activities like Husky sledging and snowmobiling. So if you want a break with a glass igloo and/or Ice hotel just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide some suggestions that might be best for you.
