Package Overview

Arctic Fox Glass Igloos are located on the peaceful shores of the lake Ranuanjärvi, far from city light pollution. Each Igloo offers an unobstructed view across the open lake to the far-reaching northern horizons. According to an old Finnish folktale, Northern Lights are born as the Arctic fox swipes the side of a fell with it’s tail creating sparks on the northern skies. The Arctic Fox Glass Igloos in Ranua Finnish Lapland are named in the honour of the Arctic Fox. The Igloos offer ideal conditions for observing the northern skies to look out for the Aurora.

Package Itinerary

Day 1

Direct flight from Gatwick to Rovaniemi (indirect from Heathrow and Manchester available)
Transfer from Rovaniemi airport to Arctic Fox Glass Igloos (approx. 1 hr 10 minutes)
Evening meal
Check into glass igloo

Day 2

Breakfast
2-hour Husky safari – The husky safari with a brief driving lesson before you set off into the snowy wilderness. One adult drives the sled while the other enjoys the ride, with the option to switch at the halfway point of the 14–20 km journey. A break allows time for photos, and afterward, you’ll have a chance to thank the huskies with some well-deserved cuddles.
Evening meal
3-hour Aurora hunting by snowmobile – Experience the enchantment of the Arctic night as you ride through snowy forests and across a frozen lake under a starry sky. With luck, the Northern Lights may guide your way. After the ride, warm up by a campfire with hot drinks and traditional Lappish flatbread while learning about Lapland’s natural wonders.

Day 3

Breakfast
2 hour Guided snowshoeing – Welcome to the Snowshoe Adventure! Venture deep into Lapland’s snowy wilderness and explore breathtaking landscapes that are otherwise inaccessible. Snowshoeing offers a unique and peaceful way to experience the untouched beauty of nature in winter.
Evening meal
2-hour Northern lights Finnish horse sleigh ride – This cosy evening sleigh ride is perfect for all ages—just sit back, relax, and enjoy the gentle sound of sleigh bells as you glide through snowy landscapes. We’ll pause by a crackling campfire to savour warm drinks and the quiet beauty of nature. And if luck is on our side, the northern lights may make a magical appearance.
