Package Itinerary

Sample of what you can expect:

Day 1: Welcome to Camp Ripan

Flights from Heathrow or Manchester via Stockholm to Kiruna
Pick up from airport and transfer to your Ripan cabins which are comfortable and en-suite, on the edge of Kiruna. They are light and spacious and just a few minutes walk from the restaurant and reception area.
Night 1 of 6 in Ripan cabins – Room Giron

Day 2: Sami & Reindeer Encounter and ICEHOTEL Tour

Breakfast
Sámi and reindeer encounter activity. Meet with local Sámi guides and their reindeer and learn how the Sámi people have survived and flourished in this area for an estimated 5000 years. Feed the reindeer and have a go with a lasso. Lunch is served in a Sami laavu.
Icehotel visit and tour. At the Icehotel you will have a guided tour and some free time to look around. Your transport will meet you again for a transfer back to Kiruna. Plenty of time for a “vodka-in-the-rocks” (payable locally) if you want!

Night 2 of 6 in Ripan cabins

Day 3: Husky Safari

Breakfast
Husky safari Exploration of the local forests and tundra by husky. Will we see wildlife or tracks? Lunch is served as part of the tour. 1 sledge between 2.

Day 4: Explore the Local Area

Breakfast
Day free to explore the local area. Maybe you’ll want to book into the on site spa, go shopping or just have fun in the snow. The day is yours.

Day 5: Ice Fishing by Snowmobile

Breakfast
5 hour ice fishing by snowmobile activity – head out onto the frozen river and try your hand at a traditional Ice Fishing activity – who will catch a fish!? Lunch included with activity.

Day 6: Cross Country Skiing

Breakfast
4 hour guided cross country skiing – Experience true Nordic cross country skiing – The open view is wonderful and the only sound you can hear is the skis against dry snow.

Day 7: Overnight Snowmobile Safari with Stay in Wilderness Cabin

Departure for overnight snowmobile adventure
After a brief instruction you set off on an overnight snowmobile adventure. Starting off slowly as you get to grips with your machine but then speeding up as you gain confidence you will cross forest, tundra and frozen lakes. On arrival to the camp you will assist with chores like lighting the fires and then you can take a walk around the area or have a sauna whilst your guide prepares the evening meal.
Later on it may be possible to see the northern lights dancing overhead
Night 1 of 1 Snow Igloo as as part of overnight snowmobile tour.

Day 8: Time to Go Home
