Northern Lights Village in the Autumn is a great way to try and catch a glimpse of the phenomenal Aurora. The resort truly lives up to it’s name by having an Aurora Cabin with a glass roof, which maximizes your chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

This resort truly lives up to it’s name by having an Aurora Cabin with a glass roof, which maximizes your chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

We have put together an autumn break that can coincide with the October half term and is perfect for couples or families looking to get away. The quiet resort offers opportunity to relax away from it all and at one of the best times to see the Northern Lights. There are also 3 activities to keep you entertained with the option to add more!

1-hour Husky Farm Visit and Husky Wagon Ride.

2-hour Aurora Hunting with electric fat bike & a 3-hour Lakeside Aurora Camp.

Return direct flights from Gatwick to Ivalo, plus includes transfer to Kakslauttanen arctic resort and transfer from Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort to airport via Helsinki.

Package Itinerary

Day 1

Flights to Ivalo via Helsinki from Heathrow or Manchester
Transfer from Ivalo airport to Northern Lights Village Saariselka (approx. 25 minutes)
Evening meal
Check into Aurora cabin

Day 2

Breakfast
1 hour ATV pulled husky safari – Guided by a professional musher, embark on an ATV ride through Lapland’s serene forests, pulled by eager huskies. This unforgettable journey accommodates up to four people, offering a chance to take in the breathtaking wilderness. After the ride, spend time with adorable husky puppies, learning about their training and lifestyle.
Evening meal
2 hour Aurora hunting with electric fat bike – Fat biking is a fantastic way to explore Lapland’s untouched nature. Ride through a peaceful forest and hills, illuminated only by the moon and stars, and feel one with the ancient landscape. At the fell, enjoy snacks and warm drinks while you wait for the Northern Lights to appear—if you’re lucky, you’ll witness a stunning display across the sky.

Day 3

Breakfast
Evening meal
3 hour Lakeside aurora camp – Travel comfortably by bus, with a photo stop at Lake Ukonjärvi, once believed to be the home of the ancient Lapland god Ukko. At the camp, relax in a cosy hut by the fire, sip a warming drink, and wait for the Northern Lights to light up the sky. Lie on a reindeer hide in the snow and enjoy the serene beauty of the lights, and if the night is calm, you may even hear their whispers.

Transfer to Ivalo airport for return flights to Heathrow or Manchester via Helsinki
