Looking for a quiet Northern Lights Holiday in 2025? For when you want to get away from it all, one of your priorities is likely to a quiet break away from the kids (both yours and everyone else’s!). This trip is for couples, singles or small groups of adult friends and is a boutique style adults only break to our boutique Nangu Northern Lights resort in Northern Finland. It combines all the elements you need for the perfect, quiet get away.

If you’ve been looking for a Northern Lights Holiday in 2025 then our Adults only winter holiday could be just the ticket!

Sometimes, if you’ve got kids, it’s good to get away without them for a few days. While if you’ve not got kids, it’s always pleasant to go to a child free resort and generally this wasn’t an option in the Arctic – until now!

This family-owned unique destination is located on the southern shore of Lake Inari, which in the summer has a breath-taking open lakeview (in summer) as far as the eye can see opening right from the beautiful hotel yard. Because of the position it’s perfect for experiencing the northern lights and midnight sun alike! In the winter when the snow has fallen and the lake freezes, you’ll see a beautiful field of crisp white snow. Additionally the resort consists of idyllic log buildings, which gives the hotel an authentic and romantic feel of Lapland.

Located only 20-minute drive from the Ivalo village, our Nangu resort offers exclusive wilderness experiences all year round with easy access to the airport and the surrounding areas. In spite of the closeness to the village, the resort area remains an excellent location for an adult Northern Light break. In addition we include the Aurora camp traditional Fika activity – what could be better than snuggling up to your loved one in front of the fire with (hopefully) a Northern Lights display above you.

We offer 24 beautiful wilderness theme decorated hotel rooms with ensuite bathroom. Including meals which are served in our unique restaurant building with elegant log walls and cozy interior, where guests get to enjoy exquisite Lappish delicacies.

Day 1: Welcome to Nangu Wilderness Hotel

Day 2: Snowshoeing and Aurora Snowmobiling

Breakfast
2-hour Gentle snowshoeing – We’ll provide snowshoes and poles for a peaceful walk through the beautiful winter scenery. As you explore at a relaxed pace, the friendly guide will share fascinating stories about Finnish nature and wildlife. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the winter surroundings.
Lunch
Evening meal
2.5-hour Aurora snowmobiling – We’ll travel to open spots with the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights. If the skies are clear, we’ll stop to admire the auroras. Along the way, enjoy a break by a campfire with warm drinks and great company. Drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid license. Children under 15 will ride in a sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.

Day 3: Husky and Reindeer Day

Breakfast
6-7 Husky & reindeer day – Meet and interact with reindeer, feeding these gentle animals while learning about their significance in Sámi culture. Hear captivating stories of Arctic life before a quick sledding lesson. Then, embark on an exhilarating Husky Safari, where the huskies pull your sled through stunning winter landscapes, from lakes to forests. Enjoy the thrill of the ride and the tranquillity of snowy trails, with a delicious lunch break along the way. This full-day adventure offers a perfect blend of Lapland’s nature and culture.

Day 4: Snowmobiling and Aurora Camp

Breakfast
4-hour Snowmobiling adventure – After a brief driving lesson, we’ll set off on an exciting snowmobile adventure through Lapland’s pristine wilderness. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes, a delicious lunch, and warm drinks along the way. Drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid license. Children under 15 will ride in a sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.
Evening meal
2.5-hour Aurora camp – Enjoy a cosy sleigh ride pulled by a snowmobile, taking you through stunning Arctic landscapes to a prime spot for Northern Lights viewing. At the campsite, relax with hot drinks and great company as you gaze at the auroras, far from any light pollution—offering some of the best views of the Northern Lights.

Day 5: Time to go Home
