Package Itinerary

Example itinerary and subject to change upon arrival at the resort:

Day 1: Welcome to Nellim

Flights to Ivalo via Helsinki from Heathrow or Manchester (some direct flights available upon request)
Transfer to Nellim Wilderness Hotel from airport (approx. 45 minutes)
Evening meal
Check into Wilderness Room

Day 2: Snowshoeing & Aurora Snowmobiling

Breakfast
4-hour Snowshoeing – On this trek, we will head to the Nellim forests and hills. The forest is a beautiful winter wonderland, and the silence is like nowhere else. During the trek the guide will share interesting stories and information about Finnish nature and animals. Eventually you will reach your camp place, where you will have some lunch and warm drinks by the open fire.
Evening meal
2.5-hour Aurora snowmobiling – On this snowmobiling trip we will head to Nellim surroundings in search of the northern lights. We will be heading to the open spots, where the chances of seeing the northern lights are the highest. The length of this trip depends on the weather conditions; if the sky looks promising, we will stop to admire the northern lights.

Day 3: Reindeer & Husky Safari

Breakfast
4-hour Reindeer Day with snowmobile safari – Join a guided snowmobile tour for a deep dive into Sámi culture and life in the north. Visit a reindeer farm, feed these curious animals, and learn about reindeer herding from your guide. Enjoy a traditional lunch of reindeer soup by an open fire, seated on reindeer hides.
3-hour Husky safari – Experience the thrill of a husky safari across frozen Lake Inari. Feel the dogs’ excitement at the start and enjoy the peaceful silence as they glide through the snowy landscape. Each sled is shared by two guests, taking turns mushing and riding. The driving time is approximately 1.5–2 hours.

Day 4: Aurora Cabin & Aurora Camp

2.5-hour Aurora Camp by snowmobile sleigh – Ride in a cosy sledge pulled by your guide’s snowmobile to a remote camp facing the northern sky. Enjoy hot drinks and the warmth of a campfire as you watch the sky—if you’re lucky, the Aurora Borealis will put on a show.

Day 5: Time to Go Home
