The journey is made in comfort aboard a bus, with stops along the way for photo opportunities. We’ll continue to the peaceful shore of Lake Äkäslompolo, where you’ll have the chance to witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights in a tranquil and unforgettable setting.

3 hour Aurora hunting by snowmobile 

Ride a snowmobile through the quiet, snow-covered forest under the night sky, far from any light pollution. As the serene landscape surrounds you, we stop to warm up by a crackling fire, enjoying a delicious evening meal and hot drinks. Santa’s little helper, Elf, will greet you and your family, guiding you through a day of festive fun. The adventure begins with a delightful gingerbread baking session. After enjoying your homemade cookies, Elf will lead you to meet Santa’s flying reindeer. While the reindeer only fly on Christmas night, you’ll still get to experience the magic with a short ride on a reindeer-drawn sleigh through the snowy forest.

For 50 years, Reijo Raekallio has been capturing the essence of everyday life through his artwork, depicting people, reindeer, nature, and movement—always emphasizing atmosphere and light. Reijo’s paintings are born from his imagination, with both animal and human figures often portrayed as caricatures. His vibrant, deeply colored watercolors have earned him a reputation as a master colorist, with his works often praised for their rich, expressive use of color.

Hotel Location

For air travel, we recommend flying into Kittilä airport. There are convenient flights available from the UK via Helsinki to Kittilä, as well as some direct routes. Finnair offers daily flights year-round. Once you arrive, we can arrange a transfer from Kittilä Airport to Northern Lights Village Levi , approximately a 30-minute drive away.

In winter, temperatures range from -10˚C to -25˚C, with occasional drops to as low as -40˚C on some days.

Do you photograph the experiences?

Yes! Unless you specify otherwise, we capture photos of your night time experiences, and you’ll have the option to purchase a single photo, album, desk art, wall art, or keepsakes from our ‘Guest Photography Services’ afterward. Your photos are securely stored in the cloud and can only be accessed by those with the specific password. Each activity has its own unique password, which is provided only to guests who participated in the activity. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform your guide at the start of the activity.

Can I drink water from the tap?

Yes, the tap water is probably the best water you’ll ever drink!
