When can I see the Northern Lights?

The ideal time to visit the northern parts of Finland and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights is between August and April. Mid-January to mid-March tends to be the best time in the winter months to see them. There are several excellent apps available for predicting the auroras, such as “My Aurora Forecast,” which is free to use. Don’t forget to set your phone to night mode when taking pictures of the magical lights. We hope you get to experience their stunning beauty!

How far are the igloos from the nearest town or attractions?

The igloos are located just a short distance from the Ruka ski resort, approximately 10 minutes by car, providing easy access to various activities and attractions.

Are the igloos heated?

Yes, each igloo is fully heated for your comfort while still allowing you to enjoy the view of the surrounding nature. You can stay warm and cosy while experiencing the beauty of the outdoors.

Is there wi-fi available in the igloos?
