When staying in the Wilderness Rooms in the main building, you can still see the architecture of the building from when it was first constructed. The hotel rooms are slightly different in layout and smaller than the rooms in the new hotel buildings. The rooms have recently been renovated and given a new look. The rooms have a peaceful atmosphere and the furniture has been renewed. Each room has a private bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, kettle and wardrobe.

We’ll gather around a blazing campfire, enjoying hot drinks and good company.
4 hour Snowmobiling adventure
Today is all about enjoying the local winter activities. Snowmobiling is a popular and thrilling hobby among the locals, offering endless wilderness, countless trails, and stunning scenery all around you. All snowmobiling activities will begin with a safety briefing. We’ll also take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch by an open fire.
2 hour snowmobile safari
No trip to Northern Finland is complete without experiencing snowmobiling, even if it’s just for a short adventure. You’ll start by getting familiar with the snowmobile, receiving full safety instructions, and having a driving lesson with our guide. Once everyone feels confident, we’ll head out for a short journey into the nearby wilderness.
Please note: To drive the snowmobile, participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license in Finland.
2 hour Ice fishing experience
Join our guide for an exciting ice fishing adventure on Lake Inari, the third largest lake in Finland. Our journey begins with a short snowmobile sleigh ride across the ice to our fishing spot. Once we arrive, your guide will teach you the secrets of this popular winter activity enjoyed by locals. You’ll learn how to drill holes in the ice, operate the fishing gear, and then it’s time to test your luck. While waiting for the fish to bite, we’ll keep warm with some hot drinks, all while enjoying the stunning Arctic lake scenery.
4 hour Ice fishing trip by snowmobile sleigh
Experience traditional Finnish ice fishing at its finest! Spend the day outdoors learning the ins and outs of winter fishing in the North. We’ll begin with a fun snowmobile sleigh ride to the best ice fishing spots. Our guide will teach you how to drill holes in the ice and show you how to use the fishing gear. Then, we’ll put our skills to the test and see who’s the best fisherman. The day also includes a delicious lunch cooked by the open fire, making this a truly authentic experience.
4 hour Snowshoeing adventure
Snowshoeing is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the Arctic wilderness. Feel the deep snow crunch beneath your shoes, pass by snow-covered trees, and spot the pearly-white willow grouse watching from a distance—winter nature is truly magical. Along the way, you can discover animal tracks in the snow, explore snow-draped forests, and, if you’re lucky, encounter some local wildlife. Together, we’ll enjoy a peaceful walk through the surrounding nature, with our guide sharing fascinating stories and insights about Finnish wildlife and nature along the way. It’s a wonderful way to explore the serene surroundings at a relaxed pace.

Walking through dark forests illuminated by the moon and the mesmersing dance of the Northern Lights is an unforgettable experience. We’ll gather around a campfire to warm up and await the appearance of the Auroras, sipping on hot drinks prepared over the open flame as we enjoy the magical atmosphere.
1 hour Aurora workshop
Our expert guides will provide you with all the essential information about the Northern Lights, including an easy-to-understand explanation of the science behind this mesmerizing phenomenon. Feel free to bring your own camera, and they will help you adjust the settings to capture the best photos of the Aurora.
3 hour Aurora hunt by car
Embark on an Aurora car trip to hunt for the Northern Lights! Aurora Hunt by Car is one of our most popular Aurora-watching activities. We’ll drive in search of the best possible conditions to view and photograph the Aurora. If the weather is favorable, we’ll head to one of our designated camp spots. If not, we’ll venture further to find clearer skies. Throughout the trip, your guide will serve warm drinks and snacks, making this a relaxing experience suitable for everyone.
2 hour Reindeer sleigh ride
We’ll begin with a transfer from the hotel to the reindeer farm. Once there, you’ll settle into a comfortable reindeer sleigh ride, enjoying the stunning views of frozen lakes, snowy forests, and the serene Arctic landscape. Be sure to bring your camera, as there will be plenty of opportunities to capture the breathtaking scenery.
3 hour E-Fatbike tour
This guided e-fatbike tour will take you along the best trails in Inari. Thanks to the electric fatbikes, you can explore stunning landscapes that would otherwise be difficult or time-consuming to reach. Halfway through the tour, we’ll take a break to make a fire and enjoy some warm drinks and a snack, adding a cozy touch to the adventure.
1.5 hour Winter walk to Janiskoski rapids
We’ll head to the stunning Jäniskoski rapid, the largest of the 10 rapids along the Juutua River. The walk to the camp spot is about 1km, making this trip suitable for everyone. Along the way, you’ll learn about the Juutua River, a key element of Inari Sámi culture, as well as fascinating facts about the local way of life. At the camp spot, we’ll relax with warm drinks and snacks while enjoying the soothing sound of the flowing water.
1.5 hour Finnish sauna experience with jacuzzi
At Koski, the sauna is heated by a traditional Finnish electric sauna stove, providing an authentic and relaxing experience. In addition to the sauna, you'll find a dressing room, bathroom, and showers for your convenience. From the sauna, there’s access to a terrace where you can unwind in your own private jacuzzi, offering a stunning view of the Juutua River rapids. Drinks and snacks can be ordered in advance to enjoy while you relax in the sauna or jacuzzi.
For air travel, we recommend flying into Ivalo Airport. There are convenient flights available from the UK via Helsinki to Ivalo, as well as some direct routes. Finnair offers daily flights year-round. Once you arrive, we can arrange a transfer from Ivalo Airport to Juutua, approximately a 45-minute drive away.

Winter in northern Finland starts in November. During this season, temperatures can range from -10˚C to -25˚C, and on the coldest days, they can drop to as low as -40˚C. Weather conditions can vary each year, so it’s a good idea to check the forecast before your trip.
The best time to see the Northern Lights is from end of August to mid-April. With mid-January to mid-March typically being the best time in the winter season.
Children under 15 years old participating in snowmobile activities will sit on a sleigh pulled by the guides snowmobile.
When participating in any of our activities, it is important that you inform our guides about any health or kinematic issues beforehand. Our snowmobile and husky safaris are not recommended for pregnant women due to the vibrations of uneven tracks and the exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles. There is a small crash risk involved too, this is due to the speed, conditions, and type of activity. Please discuss with your doctor if you feel unsure about the activities you are taking part in.
Smoking is allowed outdoors. Smoking and vaping indoors is strictly forbidden and subject to a penalty of 1000EUR.
