If you are looking for a Northern Lights Holiday, the Luxury Lapland Lodge; Arctic Retreat, could be the little gem you’ve been searching for. This retreat offers a personal stay in a luxury eco-lodge which resets the stresses of day to day life. There is the possibility to book one of four luxury cabins. Each of those come with their own private hot tub. The resort keeps activity group sizes small and also offers these to be booked privately. The Arctic Retreat Boutique Lodge is perfect for those who want a little bit more from their holiday and offers fantastic opportunities for viewing the Northern Lights.

Package Itinerary

As with all our itineraries this Arctic Retreat Luxury Lodge package can be modified to suit any personal requirements you may have but this is what you can expect:

Arrival Day: Day 1

Fly London or Manchester (occasional other options) via Stockholm to Lulea
Private Meet & Greet, airport pick up and transfer to Arctic Retreat Lapland Lodge
Collect your Arctic suits and boots and check into your beautiful cabin with panorama window, fire and private hot tub
Meet with your hosts for a guided walk to a viewing spot and late lunch over the fire (depending on arrival time)
Afternoon to explore the site and enjoy the hot tub
Evening meal in the Arctic Retreat restaurant cabin
Northern Lights Private Photography Activity 3 – 4 hours. You will be picked up by a professional photographer and travel to the best location on the night using local aurora and weather forecasts. We recommend to bring a camera with full manual settings and a tripod. The guide will show you how to capture the Aurora best. Your newly learned skills can be tested throughout the rest of your stay, capture your unique Northern Lights photo.

In the wilderness: Day 2

Delicious breakfast
Moose Safari – travelling by snowmobile sledge we head out to look for wild moose in the forest. We stop in the wilderness to experience nature and cook sausages over the fire. The activity lasts around 3-4 hours and has an excellent change to see moose and other wildlife
Lunch at Arctic Retreat
Husky Safari – An intimate experience with nature. Sitting on a private sledge driven by your guide, this tour uses small local firms who have only a handful of dogs whose welfare is paramount. There is plenty of time to learn about the dogs and enjoy the quiet as you glide through the forest and over the frozen lakes.

Experience the Arctic: Day 3

Tasty breakfast
Ice Fishing Private Activity 3 hours – A popular pastime in the area, every guide and local has their favourite fishing spots and hints and tips. The guide will advise on how to drill through the ice and set our lures. A few relaxing hours can then be spent to catch fish. If a legal sized catch is made then you can choose to take it back to the Arctic Retreat where the chef will prepare it as an extra course for you.
