September is usually one of the best months for the Northern Lights and whilst travel is still limited at the moment we are hoping that travel will be possible again soon to see this wonderful sight. If you want a trip to look forward to give us a call or email and we’ll be happy top offer suggestions to see the Northern Lights in 2020.

The Northern Lights season stretches to April (depending on destination) so there’s still plenty of time to get a trip in.

Top questions:

  1. Where can I see the Northern Lights? The best places to see the Northern Lights are near or above the Arctic Circle – ideally away from sources of light pollution
  2.  When can I see the Northern Lights? Between late August and early April where it is dark enough
  3. What is the best month to see the Northern Lights? Historically September and March are our favourite months. We recommend avoiding December where possible as there tends to be a lot of cloud cover and it is the most expensive month to travel.
