If you’re looking for a trip that really packs a punch, look no further than ICEHOTEL Sweden. You can stay here year round and experience the different seasons that the Arctic has to offer. With a short airport transfer time of around 25 mins, a broad selection of available activities, facilities for guests who are less mobile and the possibility to see the Northern Lights from the river outside of ICEHOTEL (depending on time of year you travel) ICEHOTEL really does have it all.
For everyone who stays at ICEHOTEL it is an experience they wont forget! If you’re worried about sleeping in the cold rooms then don’t be – each night for those guests staying in the cold rooms, you’ll first be checked into the warm area where your luggage is stored overnight. Staff give instructions on how to use the sleeping bags and suggestions on how to dress. The sleeping bags themselves are suitable down to around minus 50 degrees and the ICEHOTEL never drops below 7 degrees Celsius inside so you don’t have to worry!
Most people who stay at ICE HOTEL in a cold room find they have a really comfortable night of sleep because the surroundings are so quiet and the temperature is so cool. Before you go to bed just remember to wear your base layers, pull your hat over your ears and snuggle down into the sleeping bag. The beds in the cold rooms are made from blocks of ice which have a thick mattress and reindeer skins on top.
Unless you’re staying in one of the deluxe suites, you won’t have your own bathroom – these can be found 60 seconds along the hallway from your room. In the morning, staff will wake you with a hot lingonberry juice before you get ready for breakfast and to head out for your day.
