The first snow of the winter season has started to fall across Finland and we’re super excited for the upcoming winter across all of our Nordic holiday destinations. Below are pictures from near the Kakslauttanen Glass Igloo Resort in Finland. Typically, heavier snowfall across all of our different resorts starts from around mid November though it’s always hugely exciting to see the first sprinkling of the season.
Typically, at our travel destinations including the Ice Hotel Sweden, Iceland and the Kakslauttanen Arctic Igloo Resort, the depth of the snow will vary across the course of the winter, generally not melting until late April. This results in perfect conditions for popular outdoor Arctic activities such as snowshoeing, husky sledging, snowmobiling and more.
As you can imagine, being Arctic specialists we LOVE the snow and the team here are all massively excited about the first snowfall of the season.
