If you’re looking for a post COVID-19 break then Finland holidays 2020 could be a good place to start.

The country itself has had few cases of COVID-19 and the UK is now allowing travel to and from Finland with no restrictions from 4th July 2020. As of 13th July, Finland is allowing free access from Finland, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Finland are expected to add to this list on 10th July. Countries that will be added first will be those that have similar infection rates to Finland. Accommodation and activity providers are now opening up for guests to enjoy. Life is getting back to normal in the happiest country in the World!

At the moment the hope is that Finland Holidays 2020 will be a possibility from later in the Autumn period – just in time for the Northern Lights. Finland has no national guidelines for wearing masks currently, but social distancing is recommended and masks advised at airports.

What to expect

In Autumn you can expect Northern Lights. There are wild, open spaces, berry picking and a choice of activities like husky cart rides and quad biking or fat biking.

In Winter you can expect Northern lights, snowmobiling, husky sledges and reindeer sleigh rides. You can also have a visit to meet Santa on our luxury Lapland santa holiday! There are log cabins, Glass Igloos for accommodation and The Arctic Snow Hotel also has a snow hotel from late December.

The low population density means that social distancing is very easy with just 42 people per square mile to the UK’s 725!

As the country reopens there are some great offers, including to the Northern Lights Village from October. The Village has Aurora cabins so you can sleep with a glass roof over your bed. Hopefully this allows lucky guests to view the Northern Lights from the comfort of your own bed!
