On the way we see Thingvellir National Park, the hot springs area around Geysir and the Golden Waterfall, Gullfoss - dressed in its winter clothes!

Day 1

Flights from UK – Reykjavik

Transfer to Blue Lagoon—visit to the Blue Lagoon and opportunity to swim in the warm , mineral rich water

Day 2 – Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Hveravellir

Breakfast

From Reykjavik you are picked up by Super jeep and the tour starts with the most popular sights of Iceland—Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir geothermal field. From there the trip continues to the nature reserve of Hveravellir. If conditions are good you may be lucky enough to see the endless waves of Northern Lights flickering overhead. Hveravellir is one of the most beautiful geothermal areas in the world with smoking fumaroles of bubbling blue water. In the evening you can take a stroll, relax in a natural hot pool or just relax whilst the guide prepares dinner. Before settling into the cabin for the evening. The natural pool can accommodate 20 people, the water is naturally constantly refreshed and offers fabulous views over the Lagjokull glacier.

Day 3 – Hiking and nature

Breakfast

Choose to have a guided hike around the hot spring area or enjoy relaxing. In the evening there is more opportunity to look for the Northern Lights and enjoy dinner prepared by your guide. Night in the Camp.

Day 4—Kerid and Kjalhraun

Breakfast

A drive through the Kjalhraun lava field—12 cubic kilometres of volcanic lava flow formed during an eruption around 8000 years ago. Then a trip to the volcanic crater Kerid. Then a drive to where the best weather is forecast for another evening of Northern lights spotting.
