North pole diving
The expedition will take place over 8-10 days in April.
The Programme may change depending on the weather, ice, technical and other conditions.
Those who wish may extend the programme with additional dives near the ice airfield, between their return from the Pole and their departure for Longyearbyen. In this case, the programme will be extended by several days.
The expedition requires all the participants to work together to achieve the main goal: full-blown, interesting and safe diving as close as possible to the North Pole, by each participant in the programme.
Day 1
- Flight to Oslo Meeting with all the expedition participants.
Day 2
- Oslo - Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen) flight; flight on an Antonov An-74 polar aircraft from Longyearbyen to the Barneo ice airfield, located on drift ice roughly 100 km from the geographical North
Day 3-5
- Flight to the geographical North Pole in a Mil Mi-8 helicopter; pitching camp; diving preparations; diving at the North Pole by the programme participants; optional further diving if the weather is favourable
Day 6
- Decampment and return to the ice airfield; flight from the ice airfield to Longyearbyen
Day 6
- Decampment and return to the ice airfield; flight from the ice airfield to Longyearbyen
Day 7
- Day and Night at Longyearbyen. Some possibility to see Polar bears.
Day 8
- Flight from Longyearbyen to Oslo and onward to UK

Compulsory ice diving practice in the White Sea in March:
Approximately 4 days (more if further experience is required) ice diving including flights,
transfers, accommodation and full board. If there is time a beluga whale dive will also be
included.
